Bookham is a small, quiet residential village set amongst Surrey's ancient oaken woodlands between Dorking and Guildford. From the top of Goldstone Farm next to Polesden Lacey, it is possible to see the Wembley arch, Gatwick and Heathrow airports, and lots of classic English countryside between.
There is a church which dates back to 11th century, and a now defunct carp pond dug and stocked by ancient monks from Cobham, which is a short walk through Little Bookham Common.
